Bob Brooks is a teacher, who also fancies himself an excellent gamer. Bob discovers a new, soon to be released, online game called Status, and devises a plan to quickly master the game. He is confident that he will get his students playing, and that they will help him reach the highest levels of the game... and that he will gain a great deal, financially.

Bob finds himself surrounded by smart, computer savvy young students. And while he dives headfirst into the gameplay, he gets in over his head. A generally level-headed man, Bob stumbles to maintain control of the school's participation in the game, leading to a series of twists and turns!

The main character, Bob, is a true to life character that I found myself empathizing with throughout the story. The human side of achieving status comes across subtly, then draws the reader in. Full of action and suspense, I highly recommend this book to any reader who is looking for something out of the ordinary!

  1. Andrea - Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I was honored when I found out that Moonrise would take the time to review a debut author like myself. This is such an awesome sight! Thank you for all that you do!
