The second installment in this series brings heroine Rowena into a new realm. Enter Prince Caedmon Austiere and his brother, Prince Braedric, and you have a recipe for jealousy, love, intrigue, and betrayal. In this new realm, where women are just as significant as men, Rowena tries to find her way... But whom can she trust? And who will ultimately betray that trust and later have to beg forgiveness?
As I read this story I found myself moving in Rowena's shoes (isn't that what all of us readers do?) Rowena grows as a woman, and I could sense her starting to become more confident, stronger, feistier, and empowered. By the end, the reader knows Rowena has been through so much turmoil and betrayal, that you can almost feel her saying, "Bring it on!" And this reader applauds the author for a well written and entertaining story!
The heroine comes out of her shell, and the story leaves just enough open to keep you hooked and wanting more! The short preview of the next book is whetting my appetite for what may come, and I can't wait to find out!
