Book Review - Blood Shadows by Lindsay J. Pryor

I absolutely lost myself in this book. I loved it! A lot of people are comparing the series to my all time favorite vamp series, The Black Dagger Brotherhood, but it was completely different for me. Blood Shadows swept me away into another world, rather than taking me on a crash and boom kind of ride. I was steadily seduced into an entirely new world of third species beings and government control units for third species beings and I LOVED every minute of it! A very well written book, the author is a true storyteller who does not rush things. I was never confused, even with the introduction of an entirely new world order! Well done! I can't wait to explore more of this world!

Caitlin Parish is a powerful agent in the Vampire Contol Unit (VCU). She has been hunting the master vampire, Kane Malloy, for years. He is very adept at avoiding capture, even with tons of evidence that he regularly breaks VCU laws. Caitlin wants Kane brought to justice, but she has personal reasons to get him alone, as well. Kane allows Caitlin to catch him. Little does she know, he has his own personal agenda in being caught!

I was continually surprised, delighted and enthralled. Wonderfully passionate, well written, and a great start to a much anticipated series! Yay me!
