First, let's just get this out of the way: Would you look at the cover?! Whoa! That is one fine looking cover! Anyway, the book review... right, the book! I liked it! Although, the start was rough, with a sad and hard-to-read beginning. From there, things looked up.
Isabelle West had it all at 17--a loving family, popularity in school, great looks, and an awesome boyfriend. She loved her boyfriend, Axel, and he loved her. But through all sorts of chances of fate, things take a tragic turn. Axel is deployed, never calls, and she is unable to locate him. She loses her independence, becomes estranged from her family and friends, and turns into little more than a shell of the person she once was. But once again, the fates intervene. And after several years, Isabelle gets back on her feet. Suddenly, a ghost from her past reappears. But can things ever go back to the way they once were?
I was rooting for Isabelle and her long lost love, hoping things would work out! It didn't hurt that the story was filled with hot alpha males! I feel a series may be in the works on this one. A great read!
