Book Review - Kiss of Crimson by Lara Adrian

Kiss of Crimson (Midnight Breed, #2)

Tess Culver is going about her normal day as a veterinarian, ending her day by working late into the night—a regular occurrence for someone who cares so deeply about healing the helpless, the wounded, and the weary. But when she hears a strange sound in the backroom of her clinic she is shocked to find a massive man, leather-clad, wounded, bleeding, and unconscious. Fearful, but drawn by her sense of compassion, she attempts to help the wounded stranger, unaware of the danger before her.

Dante, a reckless and violent predator, and a member of the breed warriors, has lost a lot of blood, and when he awakens, the scent of Tess’s blood is almost too much to bear. Compelled by her undeniable attraction to this dark, deadly stranger, Tess’s life becomes intertwined with the breed, as she is targeted by the breed’s enemies and pursued by the warrior Dante himself. Just one taste of her blood will never be enough.

This is a great book! I love Dante with all of his fearsome flaws. Tess has her qualities as well in this second installment of the Midnight Breed series. There are more opportunities to get to know the other breed warriors in this book, setting up the continued challenges that the breed must face in this series as they continue their quest to maintain secrecy and balance on Earth.
