In this book we meet Ryne Taylor, sibling to a Lycan pack
alpha, who has ventured out on his own to start a new pack.
Ryne is drop-dead gorgeous, and cannot be stifled by the confines of a relationship. He moves to a secluded wilderness where there will be room to roam freely, and room to stay out from under the watchful eyes of humans. But when a journalist follows Ryne to his secluded hideaway a new problem arises; Ryne's attraction to this human.
To add to the complication, there is danger in the journalist’s mission, as she has been hired to find Ryne for a very specific reason. Ryne has never been a fan of humans, as a rule, but finds this one enticing, leaving his judgment clouded at a most crucial time for the pack and all of the Lycans.

This book had more paranormal qualities than The Mating, and some unexpected twists. I still found myself wanting more of the paranormal world! But overall, it was a fun read!
